So much for babyproofing

I went downstairs to the kitchen to grab J's milk and while I was talking to Carlene I heard the security gate at the bottom of the stairs squeak. I peeked into the living room to find J closing the gate. He somehow opened the gate at the top of the stairs and climbed down the steps. This isn't the first time he's done this; he did it about 2 weeks ago, but that time Carl forgot to shut the gate and my heart sunk just thinking about the worst case scenario. So tonight I purposely double checked the gate to ensure it was tightly closed. Needless to say I was very surprised to hear the gate squeaking, but grateful that gammy taught him how to safely climb down the stairs.
