As always, here are 5 special reasons I'm loving my boys this week:
1. Justin's starting to understand the concept of numbers and now likes to count his numbers on his fingers and toes.
2. Let me first set the scene: Carlene has a routine when it comes to feeding the kids at day care; she puts them in their high chairs and then gives each kid a bite of whatever they're eating until it's gone. On Thursday Justin was wandering freely during breakfast and would "check in" with Carlene in between watching Sesame Street to get a bite of his food. Carlene was in her routine and turned around to give J a bite but he was too busy counting to 14 to eat. But when he finished he screamed for his food. He definitely knows the feeding drill, but I guess finishing his counting was more important.
3. Justin's love of tickling has spread to his feet. After I got home from work, J ran up to me, sat down on the floor, pulled off his socks, put his leg on my lap and pointed to his foot. I guess I took too long because he grabbed my hand and started tickling his feet with my fingers.
4. After I changed Nathan's diaper and got him dressed I walked back into our bedroom to finish getting ready for work. Nathan walked in about a minute later carrying a book, plopped himself down beside the bed and started reading. Well not out loud, but he was flipping through the pages staring at them intently.
5. I was trying to text Carl while feeding Justin & Nathan and they started fussing to show their dissatisfaction with the interruption of dinner time. But Aiden came to my rescue, picked up a spoon and gave Justin a spoonful of yogurt. When he finished he grabbed a baby wipe and wiped J's mouth. I guess he wasn't sure if he got it all so he leaned his head into J's face to double check that he had cleaned it all off.
Hilarious! Your boys are showing such amusing personalities.
ReplyDeleteBoth your sons are changing so much. Good news!! Sounds like Carlene might have a day care assistant in Aiden.
