5 on Friday - Myrtle Beach Edition

As always, here are 5 (+ 10 extra) special reasons I'm loving my boys, nephew and niece this week:

1. The women plus Aiden had gone grocery shopping; Lalla was driving back to the resort and misjudged her stopping time so had to break suddenly and said "ooooh". Aiden leaned forward in his car seat and yelled "ooooh".

2. Nathan loved the pool and showed no fear walking down the steps to get into the water. Even when I was already in the pool and Nathan was along the deck he scooted to the edge and threw himself over the side into my arms.

3. Mom was in the kitchen cooking and Nathan walked in so she turned around to play with him and started marching and saying "march, march" and Nathan started smiling and marching along with her.

4. The kids LOVED the open floor plan in the condo; especially the long hallway where they kept chasing each other back and forth over and over again.

5. Mr. Acrobat (Justin) took a special interest in the couches in the family room; particularly jumping from the coffee table to the couch and from the chair to the coffee table.

6. Maybe it was the hot weather but Justin and Aiden loved going topless on vacation. After dinner one night they both took their shirts off and had a ball playing/wrestling shirtless until bedtime.

7. Aiden and Justin were playing on the couch with Gammy and AJ climbed off and headed towards his room. When J saw him he started yelling "come back" repeatedly and then climbed over the back of the couch and started chasing after AJ.

8. We put Justin and Nathan down for a nap (in their own cribs) and when I went back into our room to check on them I found Justin in Nathan's crib, snuggled up against him.

9. After spending a day at the beach we came back to the room to give Justin and Nathan a bath. I was getting J out of the tub and said "J Carl, let's get out" and J repeated "J Carl".

10. Gammy was holding Justin while we rinsed off in the ocean and J was still a little scared of the waves but he told my mom "okay, I'll try it".

11. I love my kids, not only because of the obvious reasons but because they really crack me up and all I have to do is look at them and smile. Nathan was walking towards our bedroom holding both Aiden and Ariana's sippy cups. When he got to the door he set them down so he could open up the door to our bedroom. After he got the door open he picked them back up and walked in our room.

12. Ariana was quite the charmer at the beach; everyone kept commenting on how cute she is. A man was walking along the beach and when he passed her he smiled and Ari started following him along the shoreline.

13. On our way back from the beach Lalla and mom stopped at the pool to rinse off the boys beach shoes. After Justin finished it was as if he thought he was clean and made a beeline to the pool and didn't want to leave.

14. The kids LOVE bubbles; they especially loved Gammy's "homemade" bubbles and yelled out "bubbles" every time they went out on the balcony to blow bubbles with Gammy.

15. Gammy was feeding Justin cake and ice cream and he wouldn't open his mouth to eat. But when she opened her mouth to take a bite he looked at her as if he was the only one who should be eating and said "hey".
