Justin's in surgery

The doctor was running behind so they took him back to the operating room about quarter after 7. This hospital is really nice, MUCH nicer than Henry Ford's main campus. When we got here this morning we were escorted up to the surgery lounge by a surgical concierge who gave us a mini tour of the hospital. Unlike the main campus there's WIFI throughout the entire hospital and they have all types of shops/stores on the main floor. They offer room service to the waiting families, each family receives a pager so that they can contact you if you leave the surgical lounge and they have a monitor which gives you the patient's status (i.e. pre-op, surgery, post-op).

Justin was taken back to pre-op in a wagon. Funny how his first wagon ride was in a hospital, but I think he enjoyed it.

  1. In the last picture Justin seems to be saying: "Now remember this...." In the second from the last picture, he's showing how much he loves his parents! I'm confident that all will go well.

  2. Similar to Anika, I was thinking Justin was saying in the second to last picture, "I caught a fish this big!"

Her answer is much better, I know.

Those pics are priceless. Especially the one where he's looking at the nurse eye to eye.
