Staying overnight

So Justin's surgery didn't go exactly as planned. The hernia was repaired first, without any problems, and then they moved onto the hypospadias and circumcision. Just as they were weaning the anaesthesia the hernia re-opened so they had to go back in and repair it. In recovery the nurse was showing us how to care for his incisions when she noticed that the hernia had reappeared. So unfortunately they had to take Justin back to the operating room to fix it, AGAIN. Long story short, the muscles in Justin's inguinal cavity are pretty weak, so the doctor had to perform additional procedures to ensure that the hernia was properly fixed. But because Justin was put under general anaesthesia twice today the anaesthesiologist wanted to admit him overnight for observation, so Carl and & I are camping out tonight.

Justin's finally resting comfortably, but our little man has had a rough day. One surgery is enough, but he ended up having two. Fortunately he won't remember it, but unfortunately I will.
