We're home

This morning started out a little rocky and I thought we'd be spending another night at the hospital. But at quarter to 7 we got our walking papers and headed down to the pharmacy to pick up Justin's antibiotics. The surgeon actually gave the okay for Justin's discharge early this morning but the nurse and rounding doctor weren't quite comfortable with him going home that early. But as the day progressed Justin slowly started acting like his old self. He's still not eating well, which was one of the reasons they held off on discharging him as they didn't want to run the risk of him not eating at home and getting dehydrated. But since he's urinating well and is more active they felt he will probably do better at home. The hope is that he'll eat better tomorrow since his throat is probably still sore from being intubated. Hopefully tonight won't be too bad, he seems to only be in pain when he's moved or picked up, but quickly calms down once he's still again.
