Finally

a stranger who has some common sense.

Cashier at Meijer: How far apart are they?

Me: 20 months. You're the first person to ask me that; everyone always asks if they're twins.

Cashier: No, I can clearly see a difference.

Me: Thanks

You all know this is my biggest pet peeve. If people just took 15, maybe 30 seconds to really observe they'd notice that Justin is taller, is talking and is more advanced developmentally.  Justin and Nathan may be wearing the same size clothes, but Nathan's clearly still a baby.  So today I was pleasantly surprised that someone FINALLY paid attention.

  1. Yay! But you know that most people do not take 15 seconds to look before making a comment. Our society is so fast paced that people often blurt first and think later, if at all. So KUDOS to this cashier!

  2. Cool. yea people asking if they are twins are just as bad as when they look a baby with a pink dress on and asks the parents "is it a girl or boy?"...REALLY? You cant tell? Take another look! LOL.
