Today was Justin's first day of preschool at his new school. The school he attended last year became a charter school which doesn't service the special education program so he was placed at a new school. Of course I wanted to meet the teacher and take a tour of the building/classroom before J's first day. But the principal was still interviewing teachers early last week so it was a little frustrating not knowing anything; teacher's name, dress code, where to drop J off, nothing. Fortunately Carl was able to meet the teacher and principal on Friday which calmed my nerves.
We were a little late for school this morning since J had a Dr's appointment, but when I dropped him off he walked right into the classroom and joined his classmates in circle time. He didn't even bat an eye or cry out for me as I walked out; he's such a big boy! And I recognized a few faces from J's class last year so it's nice that he has some consistency.
