Last month I met my friend Jamie and her daughter at the Splash Park for a playdate.

The boys had been asking all week to see their cousins so we scheduled a playdate and took them all bowling.

Roller Skating
Last month Lalla and I took the kids roller skating. Ari was a pro, the boys, well not so much. But they all had fun.

KJ's 1st B-Day Party
The boys had a blast at KJ's Dr. Seuss themed b-day party which definitely confirmed the fact that we need to enroll J in gymnastics/tumbling classes ASAP. As always Kelicia did a great job with the theme and their shirts were too cute. I may have to steal that idea for Nate's 5th b-day party.

Family Fun Fest Carnival
A few weeks ago I met a friend and her daughter at our City's family fun fest carnival. Carl was out of town for a photography workshop so the boys and I shared plenty of quality time together. It was also a milestone for us; Nate is newly potty trained but since I wasn't sure what the bathroom situation would be at the carnival I put a Pull Up on both him and Justin just to be on the safe side. But neither of them would go in their Pull Up so yay for no more diapers!

Keeping Up With The Brouzins
With Carlene and Kenny out of town on their honeymoon last week, Lalla, Carl and I each took turns watching the kids. I was first up on Monday and I knew that for my sanity we had to get out of the house. So after breakfast we headed to Jungle Java and the kids had a blast.

Bowling
Yesterday we took the boys bowling and they loved it. When we got to the bowling alley our friends were already in the middle of a game but the boys were so ancy and ready to start bowling so they grabbed some balls and tried to make their way to the lanes. They both did pretty well for their first time; with scores of 87 and 83 they even beat some of the adults lol. J loved his bowling shoes so much that he had a fit when we had to give them back.

Breakfast with Santa
Saturday I took the boys to Pancakes with Santa with Kelicia, Donne and her sister and kids. Why I thought it was good idea to take them by myself is beyond me. The boys love pancakes but barely ate, Nathan wouldn't sit still and kept sliding down his chair and doing back flips off his chair, turning off the lights in the room, running into an aerobics class in the Y and J kept running into other kids pictures with Santa. The only time they were content was at the coloring table, even though they made a mess by dumping all of the crayons on themselves. Ashamedly I was that parent who couldn't control her kids; definitely won't attempt this by myself next year.

Motor Madness
Today we took the boys to Motor Madness, an extravaganza of cars, trucks and motorcycles. They fell in love with Hot Wheels at the event so afterwards we headed to Toys R Us to buy them their first Hot Wheels and a track.

Family Fun Fest Carnival
Last month we took the boys to a carnival with one of our friends and her daughter. The boys had a good time riding the pony, petting and feeding the animals and even rode some kiddy rides. While J was a little hesitant on a few of the rides, Nathan was fearless and rode all of the rides. It'll be interesting to see if J warms up to the rides next year.

Brouzins & Brouzinita
Yesterday the cousin's had a play date. The pool Lalla bought for Ariana is a huge hit. They won't even wait until the pool is completely inflated before they start playing in it. And don't even try and fill the pool with water because lil' mama knows what to do and tries to control the hose.

Justin is 4: Ann Arbor Hands on Museum
In lieu of a birthday party this year we invited friends to join us at the Ann Arbor Hands on Museum on Sunday.
Today we sent cupcakes to school with Justin so he could share with his classmates.
And this evening the 4 of us celebrated Justin's birthday. It was so cute seeing J get excited about his birthday cake. When he got in his seat he knew exactly what to do and started trying to blow out the candles before Carl could even finish lighting them and we could sing to him.

Reading is Fundamental
Our cousin brought her nephew over a few weeks ago for a play date with the boys. It was cute how all the boys each took turns reading books; they were all so serious too.

Sesame Street Live...
was a hit and Justin & Nathan loved it. I loved watching Justin completely glued to the stage, clapping and slapping his hands to his face in disbelief. And of course their favorite part of the show was Elmo's World.

Happy Halloween
The boys and I spent Halloween with my friends Sunshine and Jaime and their husbands and kids. Although a little cheesy, Justin was a soldier in honor of his dad's deployment and Nathan was the cutest spider ever. But we all had fun; especially J who kept running into people's homes rather than standing at the door and waiting for his candy.

Yo Gabba Gabba Live
I'm not sure who had more fun at Yo Gabba Gabba Live, the kids or the parents.
