Field Trip: Farm Day

Here are pictures from Nate's last field trip in preschool.  We're going to miss Ms. Lisa, Ms. Ann & Ms. Mollie but are excited to be moving on to kindergarten.  

Field Trip: Detroit Zoo

Last week the boys and I attended Aiden's field trip to the Detroit Zoo.  It was a brouzins affair since Carlene decided to take Ariana as well.  As always the brouzins had a blast.  And as always, Carlene and I were beat afterwards.

Field Trip: Hess Hathaway Farms

On Friday the boys had a community based instruction day with all the Early Childhood Special Education classes from the district at Hess Hathaway Farms.  We toured the farm and saw various animals; Justin was particularly into feeding and petting the animals this year.  We took a hayride where Nate excitedly pointed out wild turkeys and of course the kids had a blast playing on the playground.

Field Trip: Downtown Farmington

Nathan's afternoon class had a trip to Downtown Farmington to visit the Civic Theater, a local movie theater, to learn about how movies get on the screen.  Then we headed to Edward Jones where the dad of one of Nate's classmates works and we got a brief history of the building and the kids received piggy banks.  Next we headed to a local bakery for bread, before heading to the fire/police department where the kids got to get in the firetruck and try on gear.  Lastly we headed to the library for story time and Nate checked out his first DVDs.   

Field Trip: Oakland Gymnastics

The boys had so much fun on their field trip to Oakland Gymnastics.  Of course our little gymnast Justin couldn't contain himself and was doing flips all over the place and anxious to try out the uneven bars even though that wasn't part of the routine.  So I know he'll be really excited once he starts gymnastics/tumbling classes hopefully next month.  

Field Trip: Erwin Orchards

The boys both had trips to Erwin Orchards so I took J on his trip and Carl took Nate on his.  I think they both had fun!

Last month J's class had a community based instruction day with all the Early Childhood Special Education classes from the district at Hess Hathawy Farms.  We toured the farm and saw various animals, took a hayride, explored the various farm themed learning activities set up in the pavilion and the kids enjoyed playing on the playground. 

Field Trip: Oakland Gymnastics

Justin had a class field trip his first week at his new school and he loved every minute of it.  So much so that we're probably going to enroll him in gymnastics/tumbling classes this summer.
