10 Year Anniversary
I was going through my drafts and saw I never posted this smh! Carl and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary in May (2015). Here are some of my favorites from our session with Shaleena of LeoSage Images.

Bedroom Makeover Take 2
So with Nathan turning 5 last year I knew I definitely wanted to give him a big boy room. And oddly enough I went a little overboard when decorating his room. I say oddly enough because we all know there's tons of cute girl stuff and most people (well at least in my circle of friends) say they go overboard when it comes to their daughters. So I figured with 2 boys I'd be okay. Boy was I wrong!
Anyway, in September of last year Carl and I finally converted the boys toddler beds to big boy beds. Although I didn't ask Nate what theme he wanted, I knew the theme I chose (Vintage Cars) would be a hit because he is his father's child and LOVES cars.

Bedroom Makeover
We converted the boys rooms last September; bye bye toddler beds, hello big boy beds and rooms! Although J's room had somewhat already been converted but we traded in his toddler bed for bunk beds.

Cliff's Adventures: Week 2

5 on Friday
As always, here are 5 special reasons I'm loving my boys this week:
1. Nathan: Mom you're a child and I'm the adult so you can go to school and I'll pick you from school, then I'll go to Toys R Us and buy you a Leap Pad, then I'll go to the Apple Store and buy you an iPad.
2. I love some of the conversations that happen in the car:
Justin: Hey that's a Toyota.
Me: Yes it is J (as we pass it).
Justin: Hey where'd that Toyota go?
Nate: It's behind us J.
Justin: (in a duh voice) I know Nathan, I don't see it.
3. Soon as I walked in the house from work Nate asks "Mom, can we have a talk?" Then proceeds to say "this morning I said no when you were parked in the spot and then I got on the bus and went to school.
4. I was cleaning the kitchen and J asks "Can I see the mop...I can help clean up too?"
5. I got home from work as Carl was putting the boys to bed and Nate said "I want to give you a long hug mom"!

5 on Friday
As always, here are 5 special reasons I'm loving my boys this week:
1. Justin woke up before Nathan and started playing around telling Nate to wake up so Nate says "Do not wake up Dad, he's sleeping, do not wake up even me I'm trying to sleep".
2. Carl had this conversation with Nathan as they were heading to Donald's house:
Nate: Can Uncle Donald can be my brother?
Carl: No Nathan, he's too old to be your brother. Besides you already have a brother whose sitting next to you.
Nate: Oh, can he be my sister then?
Carl: No Nathan, he's a man he can't be your sister.
Nate: Oh, did you make us or buy us?
3. We passed Justin's school and Nate proclaims "When I was little I went to Meadowbrook and saw Ms. Julie".
4. Justin head butted me and after he realized I bit my tongue he said "Sorry mommy I didn't mean to hurt you".
5. The boys always ask 20 questions. Monday morning was no exception "Where you going Mom, is is Saturday, no, is it Sunday, no, is it Monday, yes. Are we going to school today, yes, yay!"

As always, here are 5 special reasons I'm loving my boys this week:
1. I'm so excited that Justin is now able to answer questions about his day. One day I asked him what his favorite part of the day was and he replied "going to Mrs. Essebook's class". Her name is Estabrook but he sounds so cute when he says Essebook.
2. I Face Timed with the boys because I was working late and here's my conversation with Nathan:
Nate: Is everyone at work?
Me: A couple of people are.
Nate: Oh is Ms. Marcie there?
Me: No she's not
Nate: Oh, well what are their names?
3. As told by Carl: The boys and I were at the dealership and I told them that when they're older and start driving maybe we'd buy them a Dodge Dart. Nate replies "I don't like small cars, I want a Charger".
4. I bought Nate a new Mr pencil and he asked if he could play with it. I told him not tonight but tomorrow morning and he replied "Thanks Mom I appreciate it".
5. The boys were playing in our bed Saturday morning and I hear this conversation:
Nate: This is fun Justin, being under the covers.
Justin: Yes Nathan, this is so much fun!

First Snow
The boys loved playing outside yesterday during the first snowfall of the season. I even got in on the fun. We were only supposed to get a few inches that weren't expected to stick but ended up getting a little over double that. So of course the boys wanted to go outside today as well and play again.
