Last Day of School

The boys' last day of ECSE was last Tuesday.  I'm really excited about the teachers and parapro's gifts this year; a Pinterest inspired Crayola picture frame. I'm also happy with my decision to get the bus drivers' end of year gifts; especially Mr. Don who has been so great with Nathan.  The teachers all confirmed how great he is and how they hope he'll be driving for them next year.  And when Nate said goodbye to Mr. Don he commented on how good Nate is with numbers and how he's the only student on his bus that remembers all the other school bus numbers and calls them out when asked/pointed out.

Last Day of School

Friday was Nate's last day of school at Alameda where he spends his afternoons.  Parents were invited to the classroom for the last 45 minutes of class to celebrate all the growth and learning the kids did this year.  We also sang along with some of the kids favorite songs and received the portfolios they worked on all year.

Nate is Mr. Popular; as we were leaving seemed like everyone knew him, even teachers/staff I didn't recognize.  While I was talking to the principal Nate went searching for Ms. Pam with another teacher I didn't know.  They eventually found her, and after they said their goodbyes and gave hugs Nate says "okay, bye girls; see you next year".  They smiled and said "mom, you have your hands full with this ladies man".  I sure do!
