PJ Masks

This is what happens when your husband sets up his lights in your studio and your boys are playing near by; of course I'm going to take pictures lol!

Bedroom Makeover

We converted the boys rooms last September; bye bye toddler beds, hello big boy beds and rooms!  Although J's room had somewhat already been converted but we traded in his toddler bed for bunk beds.

Car Wash

Nathan was all about helping Carl wash his truck.  Justin, not so much; he was all about playing hide and go seek with the neighbors.

Justin's 7 Year Photo Shoot

I never know quite what I'll get when photographing my boys.  J's session started off slow and he wasn't feeling it, but after letting him relax and turning on the music I was able to capture his personality to a tee.

Lost Teeth

I'm so behind because Justin lost his first tooth in September.  Of course I made a big deal of it and took pictures but never posted.  Now that he just lost his 4th tooth, his first one on the top, I figured I'm well overdue for posting pictures of my cute little snaggletooth.

Sprinkler Fun

There's nothing like good old fashioned fun of playing in the sprinklers in the backyard.  Afterwards the boys helped Carl pot Nate's seedling from school.  Yeah, we're really late; it's been in a small cup in our kitchen window since the late spring.

To Infinity & Beyond

Even though the boys each have their own Buzz Lightyear they continuously fought over who would play with each one.  So we decided to set the timer so each could have a turn and when it went off they switched.

Dress Up

When Justin went to bed he had on pajamas.  When I went in to check on him about an hour later I found him like this.

The boys played dress up as soon as they got home from TyC's and were still dressed when I got home from work.  It started with Justin grabbing his DJ Lance costume and Nate said he wanted to dress up too so he went upstairs and grabbed Scooby Doo, came downstairs and showed Carl.  Then he decided he needed something else so went back upstairs and came back down with his Fresh Beat Band jacket.

Justin: Age 6

Weight: 32.4 lbs
Height: 40.1 inches
Clothes Size: 4T
Shoe Size: 10

So this appointment was the first one where Dr. Hirsch was actually concerned about J's weight.  Yes he's finally on the growth chart, albeit at the lowest percentile, and yes he did have some growth (2 lbs and 2.5 inches), but she'd like to recheck his weight in 3/4 months.  We talked about diet, but the thing is we really don't restrict what J eats.  He loves cheese so gets plenty of that, he drinks milk twice a day.  His appetite is pretty hearty and he's always asking for seconds.  He's also getting pretty good at trying new dishes we give him.  And he snacks regularly throughout the day.  So the only thing we're switching is adding Pediasure back to his diet to give him even more calories.  Other than that, we'll wait until next year for his follow up endocrinology appointment which is when we'll more than likely start hormone growth therapy.

She was concerned about his focus and attention span, which we already know is lacking.  We're hopeful that karate will help in that respect.  But she was very happy that overall he's healthy and that we didn't have any sick visits at all during the last cold & flu season.  We just need to get some more meat on him.

Last Day of School

The boys' last day of ECSE was last Tuesday.  I'm really excited about the teachers and parapro's gifts this year; a Pinterest inspired Crayola picture frame. I'm also happy with my decision to get the bus drivers' end of year gifts; especially Mr. Don who has been so great with Nathan.  The teachers all confirmed how great he is and how they hope he'll be driving for them next year.  And when Nate said goodbye to Mr. Don he commented on how good Nate is with numbers and how he's the only student on his bus that remembers all the other school bus numbers and calls them out when asked/pointed out.
