Family Photos

Since my mom was in town I thought it'd be a nice idea to have a mini photo shoot.  Surprisingly it only took 2 frames to get this family group shot.  Now the pictures with my mom and her grand kids was a different story. Of course I'd love the perfect picture with everyone looking at the camera smiling, but you know me, I also love a pic that shows their personalities.  And we definitely captured the Brouzins personalities.

Until next year I guess (I can't believe it'll be a whole year before I see my mom again).  Her visits always go by so fast so I'm really hoping next year she'll be able to stay with me.  Last spring she stayed with Carlene since she was getting married.  When my mom came back for the Stark family reunion in June she stayed with Lalla.  And this visit she stayed with Lalla again since she just had RJ.  So although I'd love the Brouzins to grow again, I kind of hope Carlene and Kenny don't decide to have a baby next year and steal my turn away from me lol. Or maybe that'll be a reason for mom to visit twice next year; a girl can hope right!

Family Photo Shoot

My good friend Jaime took our family photos in October.  We planned to take pictures at Frances Park, hoping to get some nice lake & park shots.  But mother nature had different plans for us and we got rained out.  Luckily Jaime's co-worker let us use her barn and when the weather cleared we got some outdoor shots, albeit the boys were muddy at that point.  And in true Justin and Nathan fashion I didn't get my one perfect traditional shot.  Is that even possible with toddlers???  Of course what we did get were pictures that totally capture our boys' personalities.

Family Photo Shoot

Last month my friend took our family photos at the Michigan 4-H Children's Garden on MSU's campus. I was a little bummed because I had our fall attire all picked out and had to come up with a wardrobe change when we experienced unseasonably warm weather for mid-October. I would've loved at least one traditional picture with all of us looking and smiling at the camera but that's just not realistic with two toddlers. Considering the hot weather, the fact that I had the flu, the boys were fussy and Nathan would not take a picture without Elmo we got some nice candid shots.
