Thanks to Pinterest I'm starting a new birthday tradition; J woke up to streamers and balloons decorating his bedroom door. After school/work, the four of us celebrated his birthday with cupcakes and then gave him his gifts; an iPad mini and a Crayola iPad accessory set. Funny thing is I was so against spending so much money on a 5 year old but I justified the purchase by thinking about the many benefits from all the learning and speech apps. J loved his gift and he uses it daily so I think it was a good investment.
In my opinion, an iPad is totally worth it! Yorlee has the iPad 3 and uses it all the time. She has learned so much from it.
